Clover RPG Grimoires Tier List: Reading the Rankings

The accepted tier-list sources use grimoire and magic names for the same seven choices: Beast, Wind, Time, Light, Flame, Shadow and Lightning. Their rankings are opinions about those toolkits, not an official quality grade attached to your roll.

A published grimoire ranking

Destructoid's October 23, 2026 table places Beast and Wind in S, Time and Light in A, Flame and Shadow in B, and Lightning in C. The collected MIiGpdQt-wQ video gives the same arrangement.

Another collected creator, k8LjEjL_POg, instead places Time, Light and Wind in S, Lightning, Beast and Flame in A, and Shadow in B. Do not read the first table as a consensus when the evidence shows a different opinion.

Match a toolkit to your goal

The separate showcase discusses Light healing, Wind aerial combinations, Time control effects, Flame's Fire Stomp guard break, Shadow tendrils and beam attacks, Lightning mobility and Beast close pressure. These recorded roles can help explain why different players value a grimoire differently.

A showcase's historical statement that Beast passives were unfinished is not evidence about their current state. Likewise, a higher tier does not establish current rarity, reroll cost or guaranteed damage.

Before spending on a change

Try the skills you already have and compare the current game interface with the source's date and demonstrated build. This is practical decision advice rather than a verified optimization formula.
